About Sara Giboney

I'm Sara Giboney, a certified health coach, group fitness instructor and soon-to-be yoga teacher living in Kearney, Neb. I have a sweet tooth and I love doing yoga, making smoothies, running, reading, traveling and hiking.

I help women become their healthiest and happiest selves by teaching them how to live well and find sweet success in all areas of their lives.

I offer one-on-one health coaching services in-person and virtually, and wellness workshops in Nebraska communities and businesses.

While I focus on nutrition and helping you learn to fuel your body with whole foods, I believe that feeding your spirit and becoming the best version of you is just as important. Imagine having a career that sets your soul on fire, cultivating relationships that rock your world, making space in your life for creativity and fun and having a personal life that brings you joy.

No diet can change your life like that!

I received my training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where I studied a variety of dietary theories and practical lifestyle coaching methods. With my knowledge, we co-create completely personalized actions based on your goals to move you toward your ideal vision of health within your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and resources.

As a health coach, I put the power back in YOUR hands.

Nutrition Supplements

We all live full lives, and eating a perfectly healthy diet all of the time, isn’t always possible. While getting all of our nutrition from food is ideal, sometimes life gets crazy and we need a little help. Nutritional supplements can help bridge that gap.

As a health coach, finding products with high quality, natural ingredients is incredibly important to me. I only recommend products that I use and love.

Life's Abundance products are GMO-free, gluten-free and soy-free.

Life’s Abundance prides itself on making healthy living easier by making products that are inspired by nature and informed by science.

Sweet Success Blog

I started this blog in May 2011 to document my journey to living a healthier lifestyle. My goal is to live a balanced life - to nourish my body with healthy foods and movement, but enjoy the occasional glass of wine or slice of chocolate cake!

On Sweet Success, I share my journey living a healthy lifestyle - my goals, successes and how I overcome struggles. The blog also features healthy recipes, at-home workouts and tips for living your healthiest and happiest life.

I'm a Sweat Pink and FitFluential Ambassador, and have worked with brands such as ProCompression, Manitoba Harvest, Grokker, Mamma Chia, HyVee and Freekeh Foods.

I occasionally use affiliate links in my blog posts, and I receive payment for purchases through these links. I also work with brands and receive free products or payment for blog posts and social media shares. I always add a disclaimer within these blog posts.

I only represent companies I believe in, and that create products that I actually use!!

My Story

I've struggled with my weight for my entire life. I started exercising and dieting when I was in eighth-grade! Throughout high school, I yo-yo dieted and binged and the scale eventually climbed to my highest weight my senior year. I was miserable and hated myself.

Although I lost some weight when I went to college, I carried the baggage from my childhood during most of my early 20's and coped by continuing to yo-yo diet, binge, drink heavily and make lots of poor choices.

But in 2008, I started running. I followed a Couch-to-5K program and went from not being able to run one mile without stopping to walk to being able to run a 5K! After running a few 5Ks, I decided to run a half-marathon.

Today, I've run 10 half-marathons and countless 5Ks and 10Ks. My running partner is the BF, who often makes appearances in this blog.

Around the time I started running I also began taking fitness classes like Zumba, Pilates and Spinning. Running and working out at the gym changed my life. I loved the way I felt after I worked out and I could see a change in my body.

It took awhile for me to realize that I needed to change my diet to see real results, but I eventually began eating healthier.

In February 2012, I became a group fitness instructor through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America and began teaching cycling and toning classes. Right now, I teach 3-4 fitness classes a week including indoor cycling, water aerobics and a HIIT class.

My journey to becoming healthier also led me to become a health coach. I studied at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
