I don't mind drinking plain old water, but I love water that has been infused with fresh fruit, herbs or vegetables.

If you find it difficult to drink enough water throughout the day, I highly recommend trying infused water. It adds a hint of delicious flavor.

You also get an added nutrition boost because the minerals, antioxidants and nutrients from the produce you use, gets infused into the water!

Some say that infused water will actually help decrease bloating, which will give you a slimmer stomach. The produce you infuse your water with does add certain benefits.

For example, cucumbers have anti-inflammatory properties and are hydrating, lemons help aid digestion and mint helps sooth stomach cramps.

So get to drinking your delicious flavored water!

I bought a fruit infusion pitcher, which separates the fruit, veggies and herbs. You can also buy a fruit infusion water bottle to take your flavored water with you wherever you go.

Here are some of my favorite infused water recipes...

Citrus Cucumber Water

1 lemon, sliced

1 orange, sliced

1/2 cucumber, sliced

Strawberry Mint Water

1/2 cup strawberries, sliced

handful of fresh mint leaves

To release the oils from the mint, slap or squish it a bit.

Cucumber Orange

1/2 cucumber, sliced

1 orange, sliced

Cucumber Mint

1/2 cucumber

handful of fresh mint

To release the oils from the mint, slap or squish it a bit.

Here are some other infused waters that I'm planning to make soon!

Honeydew Lime - honeydew melon and limes

Cherry Vanilla - sliced cherries and vanilla bean

Apple Cinnamon - apple slices and cinnamon sticks

Strawberry Basil - strawberries and basil leaves

Pear Ginger - sliced pear and pieces of fresh ginger

Watermelon Rosemary - watermelon and fresh rosemary

Mango Lime Mint - mango, lime slices and fresh mint leaves

Strawberry Kiwi Lemon - strawberry slices, kiwi slices and lemon slices

Raspberry Rosemary Lemon - raspberries, fresh rosemary and lemon slices

Pineapple Ginger - pineapple chunks and fresh ginger

Raspberry Orange - raspberries and orange slices

You can also add flavor to your water by using a minerals and antioxidants drink mix. It's packed full of antioxidant-rich berries, hydrating coconut water and aloe vera juice, which supports the immune system and helps reduce cholesterol and blood sugar. It's also lightly sweetened with stevia, so if you prefer sweet drinks this is super satisfying.
