Blueberry Almond Smoothie

This smoothie is absolutely delicious, and perfect for spring. 

I love the flavor combination of blueberries and almonds. I got the idea for this smoothie when I added pure almond extract to my oatmeal and topped it with blueberries and almond butter. It was perfection. 

I kept my smoothie very simple with just a few ingredients, but lots of almond flavor. I added 1/2 a frozen banana to add a bit of sweetness and creaminess to the smoothie, but you can't even taste the banana flavor. The blueberries and almond really shine through.

Blueberry Almond Smoothie

1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk

1/3 cup frozen blueberries

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. pure almond extract

1 tbsp. almond butter

1/2 frozen banana

Place ingredients in a blender and blend.
