Self-Love February - Week 4 Challenge

Posted February 21, 2015 in Self-Love February, self-love, self-care, fitness, workout, sweat

I can't believe it's already the last week of February! This month flew by.

Last week, I challenged you to give yourself three compliments every day. I thought this was challenging! Especially one day when I was a bit down because I was comparing myself to others in a fitness class (yes, I do that too!). But as soon as I came up with three compliments, I instantly felt better.

This week's challenge will help you learn to listen to your body.

Your challenge is to move your body every day for a week!

Every day move your body in a way that nourishes you physically, mentally and emotionally. What does that mean? If you're having a stressful day, maybe a run will help you clear your mind. Are you feeling sore? Take a yoga class. Are you having trouble sorting through some emotions? Take a walk.

I tend to push myself pretty hard with workouts. I tell myself, 'I have to run today,' even if I'm feeling super sore from a workout the day before, I don't have a lot of energy and I don't feel like running.

I'm working to listen to my body more when choosing my workouts. I've been working to instruct the fitness classes I teach, rather than do the workouts with my class. I didn't have the energy to do my own workouts, and I was starting to feel stressed and exhausted. Since I haven't been working as hard in the classes I teach, I've been able to do yoga every day this month, start my half-marathon training and take some fitness classes.
