Can you believe that fall has arrived??!? This year has just flown by.

Since it's the first day of fall, I wanted to take a moment to express some gratitude for summer. When spring turns to summer and summer turns to fall, we tend to just keep pushing forward. But it's nice to express a little gratitude for what the season brought to your life.

I also like to set goals for the new season. I like treating each new season just like I do the new year. It's a good time to reevaluate the goals you set earlier in the year and think about what you want your life to look like in the upcoming months.

Today I'm sharing my gratitude list for summer and my goals for fall...

I'm grateful for…

  • spending lazy summer weekends floating in my parent's pool with my niece.
  • my early morning bootcamp crew! We've been going strong since around the 4th of July.
  • the garden the BF and I planted.

There's so much more! When you start to write out what you're grateful for, you won't be able to stop. It makes you realize how full your life really is.

What are you grateful for from the summer?

Now onto the goals!

I reviewed the goals I set in January, and I'm actually doing pretty well!! All of my big goals have been accomplished, but I've decided to hold off on yoga teacher training. It's just not in my budget right now (I'm saving to get my website redesigned!). I have the occasional headache, but I'm not getting them nearly as often I was last year and earlier this year.

I also set some blogging goals in January. Some are still a work in progress! But I did attend FitBloggin, I enrolled in Social Academy, I bought a Canon Rebel, I took a photography class, I found a web consultant to redesign my blog (which will happen in 2016), I've made more recipe and workout posts than ever before, I've worked with more brands through SweatPink and FitFluential and I've met lots of new bloggers and health coaches.

My goals for fall are all tied to self-care. I have a lot going on as I work to grow my health coaching business, so I need to take care of myself in order to give myself to others and to my business fully.

These are my goals for fall...

  • Make more time for reading. I went on an Amazon shopping spree and bought a whole bunch of personal development books. Now I need to read them!
  • Meditate daily. I always feel so much more tuned in to my intuition when I meditate regularly, and I've been a bit inconsistent lately.
  • Be more consistent with my yoga practice. Lately yoga has only been happening on Saturday mornings. I can totally tell a difference in my flexibility, upper body strength, core strength and centeredness.
  • Do a better job of staying in touch with friends/family. I have friends and family who live all over, and I am not great at calling, texting, emailing or whatever to stay connected. The more I work, work, work, the more I realize that I don't want to spend all of my time working. I want to spend time with family and catch up with friends.
  • Have adventures on the weekends with the BF. When the weather starts to cool off, I tend to want to hibernate in the house and work, read and binge on Netflix. But the BF had an awesome idea. We take turns planning some kind of adventure and make it a surprise for the other person. They don't have to be outrageous - just exploring things around town or driving to a nearby small town for a festival or to try a new restaurant. I've already started thinking of fun things for us to do!!
