I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

The BF and I got into the fall spirit by picking out pumpkins at the farmer's market, buying some fall decor for our house, drinking fall beers at an Oktoberfest event and drinking lots of coffee.

I actually hoped to spend more time lounging around watching Netflix, especially because it was a rainy, dreary and cold weekend. But I stayed pretty busy all weekend.

Friday, Oct. 2

The BF and I grabbed dinner at Dickey's Barbecue. I had a barbecue chicken sandwich, a caesar salad and fries. It was good, but I felt sick after. Meals like this are not my friend.

The BF went to see a band perform, and I stayed home. I was so tired all week, and felt like I needed a night in and to go to bed early. Look at those undereye circles!

Saturday, Oct. 3

I slept in, made a quick and healthy breakfast apple crisp for breakfast, then I went to power yoga class at the CHI Wellness Center. My hamstrings were super tight, so it felt challenging. One of my goals for October is to do more yoga. I always feel so much better when it's a regular practice.

I came home and had more coffee and had grand plans to have a Netflix binge because it was cold, rainy and dreary outside.

But I mentioned to the BF that I really wanted some gourds and pumpkins to decorate our house. Before I knew it, we were in the car on our way to the farmer's market. We bought two small spaghetti squash, a huge bag of small carrots and 11 gourds and mini pumpkins. It totally felt like fall at the farmer's market.

Since we were near the mall, we did some shopping for the BF. He needed new pants. I bought a new fall crossbody bag, and an army green button up top.

We also stopped at Target. I got a toasted graham latte at the Starbucks there. I ordered it with coconut milk and one pump of syrup. It was delicious, and not too sweet.

For lunch, I made an apple, pesto and white cheddar grilled cheese sandwich and a salad with hemp seeds, feta and Whole Foods 365 Fig Balsamic Dressing.

I had a major afternoon coffee buzz, so when we got home I dusted the living room, organized our office, made a fall table centerpiece and started making dinner.

Dinner was amazing - a store-bought roasted chicken, roasted carrots, garlic parmesan potatoes and a pesto caesar kale salad with cranberries and almonds. My homemade caesar dressing was too garlicky. I'll have to remember to use less garlic next time!

That evening, the BF and I went to Oktoberfest organized by the Chamber of Commerce. It was crazy packed, and they were out of a lot of beers by the time we got there, but we still had a lot of fun. We tried Shock Top Pumpkin Wheat (not a favorite), ZipLine Festbier, ZipLine Copper Alt, Lucky Bucket Jug Thumper, Lucky Bucket Oktoberfest and Oskar Blues Brewery IPA.

It was a fun night. I even ran into a friend from high school that I haven't seen since high school...14 years ago! We had a great time catching up.

I drank a little more than usual, so I was sure I was going to feel terrible in the morning. So before I went to bed, I drank about 30 oz. of water, took two activated charcoal tablets and ate a few handfuls of Chex Mix.

Sunday, Oct. 5

I slept in until 8 a.m., and woke up feeling great. I couldn't believe it! For breakfast, I made an egg and turkey bacon sandwich and a watermelon and apple cider vinegar drink.

Then I got to work! I secured the venue for my Kick Your Sugar Cravings Workshop, edited my promotional flyer and emailed people who have expressed interest in the workshop. You can email me at sarasweetsuccess@gmail.com if you want to come!

I also ordered some more SOS Rehydrate (which is perfect for rehydrating after a night of Oktoberfests). Get 15% off of your purchase of SOS Rehydrate by using the code AMB-WXB-57W and by joining MySOS at the checkout. {I'm an SOS Rehydrate Ambassador. I earn discounted and free products when you make a purchase}

I joined my parents, brother, sister-in-law and niece at the Catholic church for Oktoberfest - a fundraiser with turkey dinner and kids games. I wasn't too into the food, so I just ate a few bites of turkey and mashed potatoes, and had a piece of carrot cake.

Brynn played a bunch of games including participating in the cake walk about a dozen times...she won three cakes! She ended up giving one away to a stranger.

At home, I blogged, did laundry and watched The Chew. Then the BF and I went to HyVee for groceries.

We had dinner with my parents - turkey chili, hard apple cider and cinnamon rolls. If that's not a fall dinner, I don't know what is.

It was a great end to a wonderful weekend. I even went to bed early and slept for 8 hours!! I cancelled my 6 a.m. boot camp this morning because most of the group couldn't make it. It felt great to sleep for so long! One of my goals for the week is to get 7.5 hours of sleep a night.

How are you getting in the fall spirit?
