Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

My weekend was all about running and eating. It's getting to be that time in my half-marathon training when my weekends revolve around eating to prepare for runs, running and eating to recover from runs.

Here are details about my food, workouts and other adventures...

Friday, Feb. 19

After work, I met a new client for a 28-Day Transformation goal-setting consultation. If you're ready to detox, email me at sarasweetsuccess@gmail.com. After our meeting, I did the opposite of detoxing, and I enjoyed a glass of wine while I cooked dinner. I had a full week, and I needed a little relaxation! Balance!

The BF was working, so I made my simple Buddha bowl with tofu with ALL the veggies.

It was so delicious!

Saturday, Feb. 20

Breakfast was banana slices topped with natural peanut butter, chia seeds and honey.

I relaxed with my coffee.

I had Vega Clean Energy to prepare for my workouts.

Then I ran 3 miles. It was about 40°, and it felt amazing to be running outside after so many boring treadmill runs.

When I got home, I quickly changed out of my sweaty clothes and into clean workout clothes and went to power yoga class at the CHI Wellness Center. The class was challenging! I'm not sure if it was because I had already run, or because it was so fast paced.

I recovered with my favorite Green Smoothie - 1 cup coconut water, 1 frozen banana, handful of kale, 1 scoop vegan protein powder and a few ice cubes.

I worked for a few hours until the BF came home from work.

Lunch was leftover Buddha bowl.

We met up with our friends Carmen and Clark, and Carmen's son Eli at Thunderhead Brewery. I enjoyed a dark wheat then got my butt kicked in foosball by Eli.

The BF and I grabbed dinner at El Protrero. I had my usual chicken fajitas with corn tortillas.

Sunday, Feb. 21

Breakfast was eggs over brown rice and sautéed kale and onions. I season my eggs with turmeric, black pepper and pink Himilayan salt.

I drank my Vega Clean Energy as I got ready for my long run.

Then I ran 6 miles at Yanney Heritage Park.

It was a beautiful run. I'm so happy to be running outside again. I made a 3.5 mile loop back to my car and stopped for water. Then I made another 2.5 mile loop. I felt pretty strong during my run!

I recovered with my anti-inflammatory and antioxidant-rich Blueberry Smoothie - 1 cup coconut water, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries, 1/2 frozen banana, 1 scoop vegan protein powder, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1/4 tsp. turmeric, 4 ice cubes.

My mom and my niece picked me up for a quick shopping trip. My mom bought me another pair of Calvin Klein joggers. I got a pair for Christmas, and I'm obsessed with them. They are so cozy.

My niece ended up coming over for a few hours. She helped me clean (something I need serious help with), and I paid her $6. I also did my meal planning for the week.

I realized I hadn't eaten lunch after my run, but I didn't feel super hungry. I ate some almond crackers with goat cheese and dates.

Then I made avocado toast with eggs.

The BF and I had dinner with my parents - turkey lasagna, roasted asparagus and broccoli, garlic bread and salad.

It was a great weekend! I hope this gives you a little glimpse into my eats and workouts from the weekends! I took over 20,000 steps on Sunday!

How do you stay active on the weekends?
