Happy National Peanut Butter Lovers Day!

I celebrate this holiday every day because peanut butter is one of my favorite foods. But because it's a national holiday, we can celebrate peanut butter even more!

My go-to sweet treat is a banana with natural peanut butter. Sometimes I'll melt dark chocolate into the peanut butter if I'm craving chocolate. 

But I also like to add peanut butter to my smoothies!

This Peanut Butter Cookie Smoothie is super creamy and delicious. I added oats and flax seeds to add more fiber and to make it more cookie-like. 

The banana, dates and vegan vanilla protein powder add just enough sweetness.

This smoothie is perfect for a post-workout breakfast or even as a delicious snack to satisfy your sweet tooth.


Peanut Butter Cookie Smoothie

1 cup almond milk

1/2 frozen banana

1/4 cup old fashioned oats

1 tbsp. ground flax seeds

1/2 tsp. cinnamon

1/4 tsp. pure vanilla extract

3-4 dates

1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder {the best vegan protein powder}

Place all ingredients in a high powdered blender, and blend until combined.
