What I'm reading, wearing, watching, eating and listening to

I wrote a post like this in January and fully intended to make it a monthly thing because I thought it was so fun.

Ummmm, that didn't happen. It's now December and I'm finally writing the second post in this series.

But I'm bringing it back this week because I need something fun and light amidst my annoyingly long to do list. So here we go!

What I'm Reading…

I've been having trouble starting new books lately. Probably because I've been falling asleep on the couch at like 9:30 p.m. every night. I've been getting up at 5 a.m. most weekdays to teach fitness classes and it's wearing on me.

But I did pick up The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware at the library. I'll also be reading Whistling Past the Graveyard by Susan Crandall for my book club.

I also recently bought Money, A Love Story: Untangle Your Financial Woes and Create the Life You Really Want by Kate Northrup on Amazon. I have some major goals for 2017!

What I'm Wearing…

I've been living in my Cuddl Duds since it got cold. I'm obsessed with these leggings and tops. They're super light, but warm and cozy. I just picked up a new winter pattered pair of leggings recently, and they're cute and comfy. I have the snowflake fairisle print and it was a set that came with super soft socks.

They now make Cuddl Duds cardigans, hats, socks, slippers, blankets and scarves. So I could pretty much live in a fort of Cuddl Duds. Next on my wish list is the Cuddl Duds Softwear with Stretch Wrap-Over Tunic.

My new Fabletics Lucca Puffer Coat in burgundy. I bought it on black Friday along with a couple Adventura Tanks and Salar Leggings in Twilight Tiger Print (obsessed with these leggings!). I'm in love with the coat because it's super long and really warm. It's been, like, 10° here in Nebraska, so I need all the warmth I can get.

If you haven't joined Fabletics yet, you need to hop on that. The clothes are high quality and cute, plus they have new styles every month. Click here to sign up.

What I'm Watching…

The BF and I just finished the first season of Good Girls Revolt on Amazon Prime and it was sooooo good! I loved it because I'm a journalist and I loved getting a look at a newsroom in the late 60's/early 70's. My inner feminist came out during every episode and I got really fired up!

Earlier this year, before I knew Gilmore Girls was coming back, I rewatched the entire series. It ended up being perfect timing for the A Year in the Life mini-series on Netflix. It's been fun to see all the characters nearly 10 years later.

What I'm Eating/Drinking…

I started making my apple cider vinegar drink warm! I just warm up some water, add 1-2 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar and then add cinnamon, 100% pear juice, 100% cranberry juice, coconut oil, a turmeric ginger tea bag or a squeeze of lemon. I've been switching it up every day and adding different stuff to it.

Green smoothies. I know it's frigid outside and I typically don't like eating cold foods in the winter, but I'm still going strong with green smoothies. I like them because I don't like eating salads this time of year, so it's harder to get in enough veggies every day. I like being able to get a serving of greens in my smoothies.

My favorite version lately is: 1 cup unsweetened almond milk, handful of frozen kale, 1 banana, 1 spoonful of cashew butter and vanilla plant protein powder. It's really rich and delicious.

I've also been eating a couple of Laughing Giraffe Snackaroons for dessert. They're vegan and raw macaroons that I bought at TJ Maxx. I bought salted caramel and chocolate, and both are really good.

What I'm Listening To…

I'm obsessed with Audible. I love listening to books when I'm driving. I just finished the Power of Vulnerability by Brene Brown and now I'm listening to The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo by Amy Schumer. I like to go heavy personal development then light and fun. Although Amy Schumer does talk about some heavier subjects like her relationship with her parents, her father's battle with MS, domestic violence and gun violence. I highly recommend this book.

I'm also currently listening to lots of Christmas music. I've been enjoying She & Him Christmas Party on Spotify. The album on vinyl is on my wish list.

What have you been reading, wearing, watching, eating/drinking and listening to lately?
