I'm officially obsessed with gingerbread. After I made my Gingerbread Protein Energy Balls, I couldn't stop. I wanted to make everything taste like gingerbread!

So I whipped together a simple gingerbread smoothie that tastes super decadent and delicious.

I used my favorite plant protein powder, which I add to all of my smoothies. The protein I use is non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, soy-free and free of added sugar, artificial flavors and preservatives. You can find the protein powder from the nutrition line I've partnered with at www.sweetlifenutrition.com

This smoothie tastes like dessert, but it's packed full of nutrition. You could enjoy this smoothie for breakfast, as a snack or even after a workout.

I added spices that you would normally find in a gingerbread cookie recipe. I also added pumpkin and molasses for an added nutrition boost! Pumpkin is rich in vitamin A, fiber, phytosterols, beta-carotene, carotenoids and potassium. Molasses contains vitamins and minerals such as iron, calcium, magnesium, vitamin B6 and selenium.

Pumpkin Gingerbread Smoothie

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/2 frozen banana

1/4 cup pumpkin pureé

pinch of nutmeg, ginger, all spice, cloves

1/4 tsp. cinnamon

2 tbsp. molasses

1 scoop vanilla plant protein powder

handful ice cubes

Combine all ingredients in a blender. Enjoy!
