What's a typical day of eats look like for a health coach? I'm giving you a special look at all of my real life meals!

One of the questions I get asked the most is what I eat on a day-to-day basis or what diet I prescribe to.

If you've been hanging out here at Sweet Success for awhile, then you probably know that I don't diet. I don't follow a diet and I don't think diets work for the long term.

I eat based on what I feel my body needs in the moment. How exactly does that work?

When I'm in the kitchen eyeing the tortilla chips and guacamole (happens frequently), I take a moment to think about how that will serve me, why I'm craving it, and whether I actually need something more nourishing. Sometimes I go for the chips and guac, and other times I make something that will make me feel more satisfied.

It took me awhile to learn how to eat intuitively, and I'm not perfect. But I like the freedom of eating without counting calories or macronutrients, and it allows me to pay attention to what my body needs from day to day.

Below is a look at a typical weekday. Keep in mind that this is what works for me at this time in my life. You'll notice I didn't eat any meat. This is typical for me. I'm not a vegetarian, but I don't eat a lot of meat.

All of us have different bodies, live different lifestyles, and have different taste preferences. I'm sharing so that you can take inspiration from the things that you think may work for you, and leave the rest.

Tuesdays are my busiest day of the week. I teach fitness classes before and after my 8 to 5 job. So I'm often exhausted by the end of the day. It's really important that I eat energizing foods (all the time, but especially Tuesdays), so I can get through the day. I also didn't do any meal prep over the weekend, so I made everything in the moment.

Here's a look at my day:

5:25 a.m. - lemon water + taught indoor cycling

6:20 a.m. - 30 minute run/walk

6:50 a.m. - minerals and antioxidant drink mix in water

7:30 a.m. - protein pancakes topped with raspberries, almond butter and pure maple syrup + coffee + probiotic, multivitamin, fish oil and my doctor recommended supplements

12:30 p.m. sautéed sweet potato, onion and kale topped with Gomasio, two eggs, Ezekiel bread toasted and topped with 1/2 an avocado, red pepper flakes and pink Himalayan salt

2 p.m. - greens powder in water

*I bought a giant glass VOSS water bottle, and I refill it with filtered water and add my greens or antioxidants. I got the idea from my wellness buddy Kellie Donahue

5 p.m. - Berry Cauliflower Smoothie

1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk

1/2 cup frozen riced cauliflower

3/4 cup frozen mixed berries

1 tbsp. almond butter

1 scoop vanilla plant protein powder

5:30 p.m. - taught water aerobics

7 p.m. - La Croix

7:30 p.m. - sautéed red and green pepper, onion, black beans, tempeh with chipotle powder, chili powder, cumin and black pepper + brown rice + 1/4 avocado

*I made two servings of this, so I could eat leftovers the next day.
