Soothe your muscles after workouts with this simple homemade essential oils balm.

*GotOilSupplies.com provided me with glass containers to create homemade lotions, scrubs and balms using my essential oils. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One of my favorite things about using essential oils is being able to make my own beauty and wellness products.

I've made my own lip balm, toothpaste, under eye serum, yoga massage balm, body scrub, post-workout balm and more.

All of these homemade products are super easy to make. I've even had my niece help me make some of them, and she absolutely loves helping.

I got the idea for this post-workout balm from my friend, Sarah. She suggested using two essential oils - PanAway and Copaiba -  that are great to apply topically to muscles and flex points after workouts.

Copaiba: Copaiba has a woodsy aroma, and can be used on your flex points after workouts for a comforting cool down.

PanAway: PanAway is a blend of oils - wintergreen, clove, peppermint and helichrysum. You can apply it to tired muscles after working out.

To make this into a balm I used coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax, which make this balm feel really luxurious and moisturizing.

The glass containers that I used are perfect for DIY lotions, scrubs and balms. They're really high quality and the lids make them look really nice. They're perfect for making homemade gifts. I'm already planning on having my niece come over so we can make some scrubs and lotions for holiday gifts.

The company also has clear, amber, purple and blue rollerballs, small containers, spray bottles, water bottles, wool dryer balls and more. Check out all of the products at gotoilsupplies.com

Fill a medium saucepan halfway with water. Bring to a boil. Place a glass bowl over the saucepan. Place the coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax in the glass bowl. Stirring occasionally, allow the mixture to melt.

Pour the mixture into your glass salve jar. Add the essential oils. Put the lid on the jar, and place in refrigerator until the balm hardens.

After workouts, massage onto muscles and flex points.
