My family and I went on our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. We usually take an afternoon and go to a pumpkin patch that's close to home, but we decided to check out Vala's Pumpkin Patch near Omaha.

I've always heard that Vala's was fun, but I really had no idea what to expect.

Ummm, Vala's is like a mini pumpkin Disneyland. There had to be around 20,000 people there. There were 25 food stands, over 50 attractions, multiple gift shops, live shows and more. It was a little overwhelming, but impressive.

Our first stop was Harvest Barn Donuts. They made fresh donuts that were incredible. An amazing conscious indulgence.

The fiancé and I had to do the Just Married face cutout.

We went through the the Spook Shed, the Haunted Farmhouse and the Lost Pumpkin Mine. They were not my favorite because I get anxious about feeling trapped. I actually found exits in all of them before the end because I felt like people weren't walking fast enough or the walkways were too small. I'm not sure why I tried three of them. I probably should have given up after the first one.

But everyone else enjoy them, and they're probably fun for kids.

My niece's favorite part of pumpkin patches are the bounce pillows. My brother, niece and I laughed so hard jumping on that thing.

Vala's had an amazing assortment of pumpkins, squash and gourds. We didn't buy any, but I had fun looking at all of them.

We were there for nearly three hours and didn't even get to most of the attractions. They also had made-from-scratch pies that would have been fun to try.

It was a lot of fun mostly because we shared the experience with my parents, brother and sister-in-law and niece.

Side note: I know haven't shared a Weekend Recap post for two months or so. I'm feeling like I'm in a transition period with Sweet Success, so I decided to put my Weekend Recaps on hold for awhile and share an occasional post when there's something special or fun to share.

I've been taking some time for introspection, and brainstorming where I want Sweet Success to go and what is most helpful to share with you. I want to keep things fun and share pieces of my life with you, but I also want the content on Sweet Success to be of value to you.

I also needed to take a break from sharing a lot of my life on the internet as I transitioned from working full-time to working at home. To be honest, it was a really traumatic and emotional time, and I just didn't feel like sharing much. I did open up a bit about it in my post about my struggle with anxiety, so you can read about that here.

I'd love to know what you love to see here on Sweet Success! Comment below with your favorite posts (healthy recipes, healthy eating tips, positive mindset tips, workouts, Weekend Recaps, healthy living tips, etc.).
