Super Fruit Antioxidant Iced Tea

There's nothing better than a cold glass of iced tea in the summer!

The BF has been making pitchers of delicious sun tea for the past few weeks, and I was inspired to put my own twist on summer iced tea. 

I brewed my favorite green tea and black tea, then I added a tropical fruit flavored minerals and antioxidants drink mix. The result was a deliciously sweet iced tea!

Rosé All Day + An Antioxidant-Rich Hangover Helper

Can you believe that I just recently tried rosé for the first time?!? 

I always thought rosé was similar to moscato, which I can't handle. Too sweet. But rosé is closer in taste to chardonnay or pinot grigio, which makes it perfect for summer!

I decided to add pretty pink ice cubes filled with fruit to my rosé to make it even more pretty and summery. This would be the perfect wine cocktail for a girl's night, at a fancy backyard party or at a pool party. 

The best thing about the ice cubes is that they're filled with antioxidants, which can help prevent a hangover!

Weekend Recap {Aug. 19-22, 2016}

Happy Monday! It's a big week! The college course that I'm teaching starts on Tuesday, I have sessions with all of my health coaching clients scheduled this week and I'm scheduled to have a Sweet Success Health Coaching booth Thursday evening. 

I'll be honest, I was crazy stressed going into this week…especially because I got a headache Thursday night and it hung on until 4 a.m. this morning. 

It was the BF's first weekend off all summer, I felt like it was my last weekend of summer and I had a lot I wanted to accomplish to get ready for this week. So being in pain made the weekend stressful.

Weekend Recap (Sept. 16-18, 2016}

It's Tuesday and I'm finally writing my recap of the weekend! The weekend ended up being full because the BF's family was in town, and my Monday was a bit crazy.

I'm still working on creating a routine and managing my workload with the new class that I'm teaching at the university. I'll be honest, my Sweet Success work is getting harder to manage…which is why I turned down an offer to teach another class next semester. Saying no is so hard! 

But when I thought about my mission - inspiring people create change to live their healthiest and happiest lives - I knew I needed to say yes to myself and my goals. 

I have a full week, and it feels a bit overwhelming. So I'm making self-care a priority. I got a massage yesterday after work, I'm getting back to consistent meditation and I have a few yoga classes scheduled this week.

Morning Apple Cider Vinegar Drink

I've probably mentioned this apple cider vinegar drink dozens of times on this blog and on social media. Whenever I share a photo or mention this drink, someone always asks what it is. 

So I decided to share my recipe and share why I drink this every morning!

I started drinking apple cider vinegar drinks about three years ago when I learned how amazing vinegar is for health.

Now juice companies like Suja, Kevita and BluePrint are bottling vinegar drinks. (read about it here) I haven't seen any of the bottled versions in any of my local grocery stores yet, but I can guess that a homemade version will be a money saver.

Yoga Teacher Training - Weekend 6

I can't believe that I'm almost finished with yoga teacher training! I only have one weekend left!

This weekend was incredibly physical and intense. Last week was a very emotional week, so I wasn't super excited about being immersed in yoga all weekend. But teacher training ended up being a good distraction. 

All the positive energy through yoga practice, meditation and from everyone in my class was what I needed.

Natural remedies for when you're feeling under the weather

It's been a rough week over here. I'm home from work for a second day this week with a gross cold/sinus thing. 

I can't stop sneezing, my eyes won't stop watering, my head is pounding and I'm just exhausted. 

I actually haven't been sick in over a year! I credit my year of health to the fact that I've been on top of my nutrition game...drinking greens almost every day, staying super hydrated, drinking my antioxidant supplement, taking a daily probiotic and multivitamin (which has an antioxidant-rich spice blend) and drinking all the smoothies. I honestly can't believe I made it through last year - a year with a constantly packed schedule and lots of stress - without getting sick.
