How to make delicious flavored water

I don't mind drinking plain old water, but I love water that has been infused with fresh fruit, herbs or vegetables.

If you find it difficult to drink enough water throughout the day, I highly recommend trying infused water. It adds a hint of delicious flavor.

You also get an added nutrition boost because the minerals, antioxidants and nutrients from the produce you use, gets infused into the water!

Novemeber Goals

Last month, I set some goals for the month - something new I'm trying to help me reach my larger overall goals for fall

I got the idea from a blogger I met at FitBloggin. Brooke Not on a Diet creates daily, weekly and monthly goals each month and decides on a reward if she meets her goals. I totally love this idea because I often set lots of goals, get motivated, then lose steam and don't accomplish my goals.

I did OK, last month. See what I accomplished in October here.

I realized that I need to come up with a better reward. My reward was a Fabletics outfit, something that I would buy for myself even if I didn't earn it. So for this month, I came up with something that I normally wouldn't do for myself.

November Goals Review + December Goals

For the past few months, I've been setting daily, weekly and monthly goals to help me reach my bigger goals, and I've been sharing how I've been doing.

I hope you enjoy reading these posts. I always think it's interesting to see how people are working on themselves. I want to give you a glimpse into my successes and things I need to work on, but also inspire you to take time to set your own goals. I truly believe goal setting is key to becoming your best self!

Cucumber Mint Chia Water

When the BF and I were in Colorado for Bolder Boulder, we ate at Lyfe Kitchen in Boulder on Pearl Street. I ordered Ginger Mint Chia Water, and my life was changed.

It was so refreshing, and had my love - chia seeds.

I eat chia seeds every single day. The BF couldn't believe when I ran out of the giant container of chia seeds from Costco. I can't help myself. And it's not like I ate a bulk container of Oreos!

Chia seeds are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids and are super hydrating because they absorb tons of water. They also contain fiber, protein, calcium, magnesium and other nutrients.

Hydrating Watermelon Cucumber Slushie

During the hot and humid summer months, I'm always a lot more conscious of how much water I'm drinking.

Year round, I aim to drink three of my 30-ounce bottles of water a day (more if I've had a tough workout). But I find myself feeling more thirsty in the summer or getting a dull headache when I'm out in the heat for too long. It just takes more effort to stay hydrated in the summer, especially if you're spending a lot of time outdoors.

Although I love water and don't usually have trouble drinking lots of water throughout the day, I know there are people out there that don't love water. Lucky for you, there are lots of foods that can help with hydration!

Rosé All Day + An Antioxidant-Rich Hangover Helper

Can you believe that I just recently tried rosé for the first time?!? 

I always thought rosé was similar to moscato, which I can't handle. Too sweet. But rosé is closer in taste to chardonnay or pinot grigio, which makes it perfect for summer!

I decided to add pretty pink ice cubes filled with fruit to my rosé to make it even more pretty and summery. This would be the perfect wine cocktail for a girl's night, at a fancy backyard party or at a pool party. 

The best thing about the ice cubes is that they're filled with antioxidants, which can help prevent a hangover!
